[5th Report] The MOLIT Keeps on Coping with the Korean Air’s Overruns on the Runway of the Cebu International Airport

The Accident Management Headquarter of the MOLIT (The Head, Ha Dong-soo, Assistant Minister of the Civil Aviation Office) explained the following additional issues regarding the incident of the Korean Air’s runaway overrunning at the Cebu International Airport in the Philippines.

Yesterday, Jin Air which was canceled, as well as Air Busan that was delayed, both due to the accident aircraft stalled in the Cebu Airport, urgently organized substitute flights to transport 260 passengers staying there along with 122 passengers directly related to the incident.

Followed by the prompt flight permission from the Philippine aviation authorities,

Jin Air Flight 025A at 12:26 and Korean Air Flight 2631 at 12:52 both from Incheon International Airport in addition to Air Busan Flight 771 at 12:37 from Gimhae Airport took off respectively.

Those flights will take passengers from Cebu Airport to bring them back home, and Jin Air Flight 026A at 21:40 along with Korean Air Flight 632 at 22:50 will land at Incheon Airport each, while Air Busan Flight 772 is going to land at Gimhae Airport at 21:30.

In this respect, there will be continuous notice and information related to flight operation plans and so on for passengers.
