□ Vice Minister Park Sun-ho for Land and Infrastructure of MOLIT met with Paraguay’s Vice Minister Jorge Luis Bosch Lopez of MUVH (Ministry of Urban Housing) at Sejong Government Office to discuss the cooperative plan for land development.

ㅇ 10 Paraguay government officers* including Vice Minister Bosch of MUVH and others in related divisions have visited Korea for 6 days from April 15 to discuss development plans for urbanizing the land.
* Urban Housing Division (7 Including Vice Minister and Division/Department Heads), Public Works Division, Land and Urban Management Division, and International Cooperation Division

ㅇ While visiting Sejong-si to observe land and urban development, they took the opportunity to visit MOLIT to share our experiences in land, urban, and housing development and ideas on the bilateral cooperative plan.

□ Especially, Vice Minister Bosch of MUVH showed a great interest in the function and role of Korean Research Institute of Human Settlements, the national policy research institute in policy making for land, city and housing of MOLIT.

ㅇ Vice Minister Park for Land and Infrastructure highly evaluated the role of Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements for supporting policy research to resolve policy and social issues on land and urban development. He recommended Paraguay to establish a national policy research institute for land and urban development.

ㅇ Vice Minister Bosch requested to pass on the establishing and operating experiences accumulated from the 41-year history of the national policy research institute to Paraguay.

□ Vice Minister Park said to Vice Minister Bosch, "I hope you’ll play the role of an excellent mediator making Korea-Paraguay’s friendly relations even stronger from this day forward."
