The Counter-Terrorism Human Rights Protection Officer gives advice with regard to human rights directly related to counter-terrorism policies and systems of related agencies, which are discussed by the National Counter-Terrorism Committee.


- Handles civil complaints related to human rights violations

The Counter-Terrorism Human Rights Protection Officer handles civil complaints related to human rights violations that have derived during counterterrorism activities.


- Conducts human rights protection activities, such as providing education for related agencies

The Counter-Terrorism Human Rights Protection Officer conducts activities to promote the protection
of human rights, such as providing education for public officials in related agencies conducting counter-terrorism activities.


- Recommends correction of human rights violations after reporting to the chairperson of the National Counter-Terrorism Committee

If the Counter-Terrorism Human Rights Protection Officer discovers human rights violation resulting
from any counter-terrorism activities, he/she may report the matter to the chairperson of the National
Counter-Terrorism Committee and recommend corrective measures to the heads of related agencies.
