Vice Minister LEE Won-jae of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) had meetings with Minister Paola Lazarte of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) of Peru, and Executive President Alexei Oblitas of Peruvian National Road Authority in the morning of Tue. 31 Jan. and discussed the ways for participation of Team Korea (consortium of Korean companies) in major infrastructure projects in Peru.

Prior to the meeting on this day, Vice Minister LEE also discussed the promotional methods for the construction project with Lima Metro Line No. 3, in which Korean companies are strongly willing to participate, in the meeting with Executive President María Jara of the Authority of Urban Transport for Lima and Callao of Peru on Mon. 30 Jan.

On the same day, Vice Minister LEE had a meeting with Governor Werner Salcedo of Cuzco State along with Mayor of Chinchero District, and emphasized, “Korean Government would do every effort for Chinchero New International Airport to be the gateway airport of Machu Picchu which is the world-famous tourist destination and the driving force of the local economic growth.
