□ The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on February 25 that the Ministry had distributed air traffic rights for 16 international routes to eight national carriers by holding the Air Traffic Deliberation Committee earlier in the day.
□ With more traffic rights in place, national carriers are going to have more opportunities to provide international flights, which will offer customers more travel options to choose from.
ㅇ For the Incheon-UlaanBaatar route operated by a single airline for nearly 30 years, the Committee chose Asiana Airlines to provide three flights a week. With the added flights decided at the bilateral aviation talks with Mongolia earlier in January, the competitive structure will likely result in lower airfares and better services for customers.
