-Pilot Training Expense Loan Support, Up to 100 Million KRW according to Income Bracket-

□ MOLIT (Minister Kim Hyun-mee) and the Sky Dream Foundation (President Jang Ho-sang) announced that it began loans for training expenses for three pre-selected trainees after implementing the training expense loan program that began on July 8 (Mon).

ㅇ The Sky Dream Foundation became the world’s first scholarship foundation established through the cooperation of government-public institute-private sector, and airline companies, training institutes and Shinhan Bank entered an agreement to cooperate for loan support of the foundation on July 4 (Thu).

□ MOLIT Aviation Policy & Licensing Division Manager Kim Sang-soo “Sky Dream Foundation is a public benefit corporation established through the agreement of the aviation industry to ease burdens for pilot training costs and to expand ladders of hope for low-income classes. We are very happy to be able to offer loans to outstanding human resources who need support for pilot training costs.”

ㅇ He also stated, “We will continuously provide support with the Sky Dream Foundation so that the ladder of hope can be expanded in the aviation pilot sector.”

□ Any pre-selected post-education trainee within 150% of the median income can apply for the ‘19 loan program of Sky Dream Foundation. Depending on the income quantile, trainees can receive loans for training expenses and living costs at an interest rate of 2.2% for up to 100 million KRW. Plans are to provide loans for approximately 30 people in ’19.
