Followed by the launch of Mobility Bureau on 26 Dec.,Full-fledged kick-off of the mobility era started
Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT, Minister WON Hee-ryong) held the inaugural ceremony and signboard hanging ceremony for launching ‘Mobility Bureau’ on Mon. 26 Dec., which will be dedicated to promoting mobility innovations such as autonomous driving and urban air mobility (UAM) with the private sector.
The event was attended by Minister Won of MOLIT, Chairman of the Mobility Innovation Committee (Professor HA Heon-gu, Inha University), and related organizations such as Korea Transport Institute (KOTI), Korea Transportation Safety Authority (TS), Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI), and Korea Institute of Aviation Safety Technology (KIAST), including the internal and external youth advisory groups such as the Youth Policy Committee of the MOLIT and the 'MZ Board', etc.
The MOLIT has expanded and reorganized the existing Motor Vehicles Policy Division into establishing the ‘Mobility Bureau’ to enable domestic related industries to take a global lead in the future mobility era and to efficiently focus the government’s competency on implementing innovative mobility services in everyday lives.
