MOLIT Minister Won Presided over the OSJD Ministerial Conference in Busan on the 15th

Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport WON Hee-ryong hosted the 50th Organization for Co-operation between Railways (OSJD) Ministerial Meeting (MC)* at BEXCO in Busan on Thu. 15 June.
* The 50th OSJD Ministerial Conference is the first ministerial meeting held since Korea joined the OSJD back in 2018, and this time, it has been taken place in the city of Busan to support the bidding for the 2030 World EXPO.
In his welcome address, Minister Won called for support from the delegation* attending the Ministerial Conference as Busan, which is the second capital of the Republic of Korea and a hub for transportation & logistics with the world's second-largest transshipment port, has been making efforts to host the 2030 World EXPO.
* Out of the 19 countries that attended the OSJD MC this time, 18 are the BIE (Bureau International des Expositions) member states.
At the General Meeting of this Ministerial Conference, Korea's accession to the International Rail Freight Transport Agreement for passengers and cargo was decided unanimously by the countries participating in the meeting, as well as OSJD's main achievements, future plans, and distribution of positions on the OSJD Committee.
