    Jan 22 Architecture Policy Bureau was established to improve territorial dignity and architectural culture and increase the competitiveness of architecture policy (2 Vice Ministers, 6 Deputy Ministers, 2 Assistant Ministers, 22 Director Generals, 1 Spokesperson, 100 Directors)

    Mar 30 Overseas Construction Supporting Division, Green Architecture Division, Saemangeum Development Team were established

    Dec 18 National Railway Division and High Speed Rail Division were renamed as Railway Construction Division and Railway Investment and Development Division to improve work efficiency in the railway sector

    Sep 15 Water-front Area Development Division (ministry), Gyeong-in regional marine office and Gimpo office (Incheon Port Authority) were newly established

    Feb 29 The Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs was established. (The Ministry of Construction and Transportation and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries were merged)
