Global Aviation Pilot Fostering Experts Gather in Seoul
-‘Asian Aviation Education & Training Symposium’ held in Yeouido for three days from the 26th -
□ An opportunity for over 400 aviation pilot fostering experts gathered together in Seoul to brainstorm on the development direction in the rapidly changing aviation education and training field.
□ MOLIT (Minister Kim Hyun-mee) announced that the ‘2nd AAETS (Asian Aviation Education & Training Symposium)’ hosted by MOLIT and the Korea Airports Corporation (CEO Son Chang-wan) and supervised by the Halldale Media Group (CEO Andy Smith) would be held for three days from Jun 26 Wed) - 28 (Fri), 2019 at Yeouido Conrad Hotel.
□ The AAETS celebrating its second year this year successfully held its first symposium in 2018 and agreed to hold the symposium annually from 2019 through discussions with the Halldale Media Group.
□ Approximately 400 people in global aviation education and training sectors such as government institutes, airline companies, education material production businesses, aviation training, institutes from around the world were present.
□ Plans are to carry out the conference in a total of seven sessions on themes including aviation maintenance and helicopter operations based mainly on next-generation MPL* training, which is the latest training trends.
* (Multi-Crew Pilot License) Airline companies and training institutes select trainees to use the latest airline operation aircraft flight simulation device to operate the training procedure, and once the training procedure is complete, the trainee can be employed right away as a co-pilot
ㅇ The latest aviation training techniques, etc. will be presented and discussed at this conference and it is expected to be a good opportunity to search for development directions in the rapidly changing aviation education and training center.
□ Furthermore, various events and exhibits to promote training materials production and solution providing institutes in the aviation education and training sector both in Korea and abroad, as well as aviation training institutes will be offered.
ㅇ At this exhibit, PR booths of prominent companies around the world including CAE, the world’s biggest flight simulator manufacturer will be installed.
ㅇ From Korea, the Uljin Flight Academy, Korea Airports Corporation, and aviation education institutes will participate to share the educational programs offered for fostering Korean pilots.
□ This symposium will also hold separate on-site meetings between domestic airline companies and exhibition booth operating institutes including three new airline companies, and plans are to have the symposium link up with actual airline company education and training.
□ MOLIT will share the excellence of Korean aviation education and training by successfully hosting this symposium, and will strive to use this opportunity to lead the global aviation education and training sector.
ㅇ Moreover, MOLIT said that it would do its best to help AAETS become one of the world’s top four aviation education and training symposiums.
