**Kim Yong-seok, Chair of the Metropolitan Transport Commission, Stresses “AI-Driven Smart Mobility to Strengthen Sustainable Korea–ASEAN Transport Cooperation”**

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) announced that Kim Yong-seok, Chair of the Metropolitan Transport Commission, attended the *16th Korea–ASEAN Transport Ministers’ Meeting* held virtually on November 20.
At the meeting, Chair Kim highlighted the importance of enhancing smart-mobility cooperation based on artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation. Participants also discussed the adoption of the *Korea–ASEAN Transport Cooperation Roadmap (2026–2030)*, which will outline the strategic direction of bilateral transport cooperation for the next five years.
The Korea–ASEAN Transport Ministers’ Meeting, now in its 16th year, has been held annually since 2009. It has become a key consultative body for strengthening cooperation in transportation infrastructure development, capacity-building, and technology partnership between Korea and the 11 ASEAN member states*: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.
