Payments by overseas credit cards are acceptable for on-site purchases of all intercity routes from 31 July expecting to enhance convenience of foreign visitors
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT, Minister PARK Sang-woo) is expanding payment service for overseas credit card
users in order to revitalize public transportation with enhanced convenience of intercity buses.
Starting on 31 July, the payment service with foreign credit cards will be improved by allowing overseas card payment for on-site
ticketing, and enabling mobile reservations and payment for all intercity bus routes from 16 August.
MOLIT, in consultation with the relevant bus and terminal industries, improves the payment service with overseas credit cards* when
purchasing on-site tickets at all terminals (243 in total) around the country from 31 July, as overcoming the current payment system, which is being different from each terminal and mobile apps, while causing burden of higher payment fees* compared to domestic cards and dual
computer network systems.
