The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT, Minister KIM Yoon-duk) announced that the total aviation safety investment by

the industry, including domestic airlines, in 2024 reached KRW 6.1769 trillion, an increase of KRW 332.4 billion (5.7%) compared to the

previous year KRW 5.8445 trillion. This upward trend is expected to continue in 2025 and 2026, with planned investments of KRW 10.2079

trillion and KRW 10.6594 trillion, respectively.

These outcomes are based on the “Aviation Safety Investment Disclosure” initiative, implemented since 2023 under the Aviation Safety Act

to encourage voluntary safety investments and provide transparent information to the public. The disclosed safety investment results for

2024 were compiled from 18 air transport service providers, including 16 air operators and 2 airport operators.
