A series of memorial movements to mark the 12.29 Airplane Crash will be held nationwide to remember the victims and offer condolences to the bereaved families, beginning with Public Memorial Gatherings on both December 20th and 27th and continuing with an official First
Memorial on 29 December at Muan International Airport.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT, Minister KIM Yun-duk) will hold a memorial commemoration together with the Council of Bereaved Families* to mark the first year since the 12.29 Airplane Crash that occurred at Muan International Airport on that day
last year.

Held under the theme ‘Remember December 29’, the memorial movements aim to commemorate the victims, comfort the bereaved families, and reaffirm commitments to identifying the cause of the crash and preventing the recurrence of aviation accidents. Giving the highest priority to the voices of the bereaved families, MOLIT, local governments, and other relevant organizations jointly developed the detailed plans for the events.
