The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) announced that Peru’s Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC)

adopted the National Smart Road Management Master Plan for Disaster and Traffic as a legally binding national policy on June 25 (local time).

A ceremony commemorating the plan’s legal adoption was held at the MTC headquarters in Peru, attended by Peru’s Minister of MTC Aldo

Martin Prieto Barrera, officials from MOLIT and the Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC).

The master plan for Peru’s smart road management developed by Korea has been officially adopted as the country’s official national plan,

marking a significant milestone for Korea’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) program, conducted from July 2024 to June 2025, and

creating new opportunities for Korean Intelligent Transport System (ITS) technologies and businesses in Peru.
