Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea (Minister KIM Yun-duk) published the “5th Master Plan to Promote
Korea’s Overseas Construction” to unveil the Korean government’s policy direction and key tasks to be implemented in the 2026-2030
period.
Established under the Overseas Construction Promotion Act, the master plan was drafted after consultations with the businesses,
public-sector organizations and experts in the overseas construction sector and adopted at the Overseas Construction Promotion
Committee (Chairman: MOLIT Vice Minister for Land and Infrastructure) meeting.
The master plan elaborated on the Korean government’s overseas construction policy under President Lee Jae Myung announced last
December. Its primary goal, which is to transform Korea’s overseas construction as a high-value sector by leveraging Korea’s technological
prowess and through global project financing cooperation, reflects the incumbent administration’s promises to deliver technology-driven
growth and increase its financial support for overseas construction
