Vice Minister of the MOLIT BAEK Won-kug held a New Year’s meeting with CEOs from 11 Korea’s national flag carriers at 2 p.m. on Friday 5 January near Gimpo Airport to discuss ways to strengthen aviation safety and consumer protection as the recent international flights with the number of flights recovered by about 90% in 2023 compared to 2019 increased, and is expected to reach full normalization in 2024, while frequent aircraft breakdowns and consumer complaints have also increased.
