Smart mobility refers to future-oriented transportation services and systems that significantly improve the efficiency, safety, and convenience of mobility for both people and logistics by integrating cutting-edge technologies such as ICT, AI, big data, IoT, and ultra-high speed communications with existing transportation means and systems.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT, Minister KIM Yoon-duk) held the APEC Smart Mobility Forum 2025 on 4 to 5 August in Incheon, Rep. of Korea under the theme of ‘Connecting Today, Innovating Tomorrow, Prospering Together’ to discuss strategies for expanding smart mobility and fostering sustainable transportation cooperation bringing together over 250 participants from APEC member economies, as well as global experts from the public and private sectors, academia, and research institutions.
