The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) launched the AI Autonomous Driving Hub in Hwaseong Special City on March 20, accompanied by a demonstration ride by Minister KIM Yun-duk, establishing a citywide control system where various autonomous driving technologies and services such as mobility support for vulnerable groups, street cleaning, and road monitoring can be integrated and validated in real-world environments. Covering approximately 36.13 ㎢ across western Hwaseong and spanning a 46.5 ㎞ road network, the hub enables comprehensive testing of citizen-oriented services.
