Korea-Kazakhstan Meeting on Urban Development and Future Mobility

The Vice Minister for Land and Infrastructure of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT), KIM Yi-tak, met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Alibek Bakayev, in Seoul on April 10 to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in urban development and future mobility, including urban air mobility (UAM).
Arranged at the request of the Kazakh side following a prior meeting between MOLIT Minister KIM Yun-duk and Ambassador Arystanov Nurgali of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Korea on February 20, MOLIT’s K-City Network Project, including the participation of Korean companies in the master plan for the selected smart town (January 2026) within the New Alatau City Project, was also discussed during the meeting.
