Minister KIM Yun-duk of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) met with Minister Tran Hong Minh of Vietnam’s Ministry of Construction on April 21, requesting robust support for the successful implementation of the Bac Ninh Southeast New Town project, the first ‘K-New Town export’ initiative, and highlighting Korea’s advanced high-speed rail technologies while discussing potential cooperation in Vietnam’s North–South express railway project.

In the afternoon, MOLIT hosted the Korea–Vietnam Co-prosperity Cooperation Forum with Vice Minister Le Anh Tuan in attendance, where both sides explored strategic cooperation measures on infrastructure modernization and key projects in transport and urban development, joined by major Korean public institutions including LH, KR, Korail, and KIND.
