Vice Minister of the Land, Infrastructure and Transport BAEK Won-kug made visits to Dongtan Station, Seongnam Station, and Suseo Station in order from 10 a.m. on 31 March, the day after the opening of the Line A of the Seoul Metropolitan Area Express Train (GTX-A), to inspect the overall operation status of GTX-A.

Vice Minister Baek got reported on the performing outcomes for the first day of its opening and the status of operation with the emergency response system by the operating company and the Korea National Railway, etc., and stated, “The operator will thoroughly engage in operation task with a sense of ownership, and establish relationships centered on the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in preparation for unusual situations.”, while asking for “Agencies should jointly maintain a thorough 24-hour responding stance”.
