The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT, Minister PARK Sang-woo) and the Korea Institute of Aviation Safety Technology (KIAST, President LEE Dae-sung) revealed in the early morning of May 1st that a domestic drone company had successfully set the Guinness World Records for the world's largest number of drones (5,293 units) flied.
* The previous world records was the swarm flight of 5,164 drones recorded by a Chinese company in 2021.
The record-breaking domestic drone company is Uvify* specialized in drone light show as it has been steadily developing and advancing technology related to swarm flights, and has been recognized for its technological prowess by exporting drone aircraft to the US last year.
