Vice Minister for Transport JEONG Eui-kyung of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) visited a residential complex in Gyeonggi Province on 29 October 2026 to inspect a parking robot demonstration project led by a consortium of Hyundai Motor Company, Hyundai WIA and Hyundai E&C, which is being conducted under MOLIT's Smart City Regulatory Sandbox program.
MOLIT is working with the National Assembly to advance legislation on mobile robots to facilitate their safe use and commercialization across various sectors, while planning to develop regulatory exemptions and operational guidelines tailored to different spaces and applications.
