With the official completion of the Mokpo–Boseong Railway in Jeollanam-do, an 82.5 km railway line now links Korea’s western, southern, and eastern coastal regions, in operation of four daily services across the regions between Mokpo and Busan.
The project includes six newly opened stations and was inaugurated during an opening ceremony held on 27 September 2025, marking a major milestone in regional transportation infrastructure.
