Vice Minister for Land and Infrastructure of the MOLIT (Minister PARK Sang-woo) paid a visit to the construction site of the National Aviation Industrial Complex in Gyeongsangnam-do on the afternoon of 30 May to inspect the current status of its implementation while discussing support measures for the stable settlement of the Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA), which opened at the temporary office building* in Sacheon-si on 27 May.

Led by the MOLIT, the construction of the National Aviation Industrial Complex in Gyeongsangnam-do was began in December 2018 as currently being more than 90% completed, with selling the industrial land in lots to attract companies.

In line with the creation of the National Aviation Industrial Complex in Jinju and Sacheon areas, the MOLIT agreed to provide rental housing by the LH near Sacheon-si as employees’ accommodation to provide housing support for migrant employees in the early days of the opening of the KASA, and there was made the contract to supply 100 housing for the first time last 9 May.

Furthermore, MOLIT has been supporting the construction of the aviation industrial bridge connecting the east and west of Sacheon-si to reduce central traffic congestions caused by the creation of the Complex.
